After teaching yoga for more than a decade in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area, Audrey Lane moved to Los Cabos, Mexico and decided to continue teaching yoga online. But her basic website wasn’t going to be able to serve as a permanent home to her new online yoga studio. She needed a more powerful solution that would allow students to sign up for monthly memberships and access her recorded class library.
We worked together to build her online yoga studio on Squarespace using its integrated Members Areas and Email Campaigns functionality.
Setting the Brand Foundation
Launching an online yoga studio was the perfect opportunity to refresh the branding for Audrey Lane Yoga. Audrey loved the simple all-caps logo on her old website, but the colors, fonts, and photos no longer felt like her. Inspired by her Instagram feed and her new beachside home in Mexico, we updated her brand with a new soothing, beachy color palette and clean, modern fonts. We also curated images from Audrey’s social media to use on the site.
Website + Members Areas
Audrey needed her site to do more than look pretty. It had to serve as the foundation for her whole business. Using Squarespace Member Areas, we set Audrey and her students up with a complete online yoga experience. Her yoga students can select from various membership options for taking her live online classes, choosing the investment level that best fits their lifestyle. Through the site, they can access regular weekly live yoga classes, as well as a library of recorded classes and Sip-and-Chat Q&A sessions with Audrey. Students’ memberships automatically renew every month, charging cards on file for their membership fees.
As her community grew, Audrey added in-person yoga retreats and private yoga sessions to her offerings, selling these through her Squarespace online store — making it easy for students to deepen their yoga practices beyond their monthly memberships. Today, her online yoga community includes students from around the United States, all coming together multiple days a week online to practice yoga in her virtual yoga community.
